Much has happened since my last journal entry, and I find myself driven to write again my thoughts.

At times, it feels as though you all - the loyal deviantart people, are the only ones I can trust.

As you are all aware by now, my good-for-nothing son is beyond redemption! I have formally disowned him, and the first thing I did was to go through all my old photos with Zuko in them and burn him, as you can see here: [link] . I decided to keep [link] this one, though. Seeing Zuko on fire never gets old.

Redirecting lightning - where did he learn that? See what happens when you let your kids hang out with the wrong crowd? Next it's going to be cigarettes or drugs, or worse!

If only Ursa were here. Oh, my sweet Ursa. How I miss her! There's not a day that goes by that I don't think about her. Her banishment was arguably, the hardest decision I've ever had to make. As Fire Lord, however, I am duty-bound to uphold the traditions and expectations of my people. If the royal family is an exception to the law, then what kind of example would I be setting?

As if that were not enough, I now hear news that I'm expected to engage in fisticuffs with the Avatar!

Such an unprecedented amount of drama! It's as though my whole life is all just some make-believe story to entertain millions of people worldwide the climax of which we are about to reach.
